The New Generation
The bulk of Malaysian citizens are looking forward to the ultimate elimination of corruption so that their children and grandchildren will have the chance to have free education, if they qualify. They are also hoping for a long term balanced socio-economic development, besides the one-off annual handouts.
The young voters may be sick of tired of corruption and education loan that can take years to pay back. They are growing up with the culture of corruption, for example getting a driving licence as well as parking and traffic offences. If their parents are in business, then other forms of corruption are known to them as well.
The cost of living is rising, and even a graduate will find it difficult to afford a decent housing for many years to come. For some, getting a car may be a financial burden as well, if they have study loan repayment and helping the family out.
It is up to the voters what sort of government they want to help them have a better and affordable life.
